Chicago Bears announced
Friday quarterback Jay Cutler continues to be awaiting clearance to play Sunday
from the Minnesota Vikings.
Cutler suffered a concussion two weeks ago inside a game against Houston and missed last week's loss at Bay area.
He is expected to undergo an assessment with an independent neurologist on Saturday to find out if he can play on Sunday. He resumed practice on the limited basis Thursday.
"He's looking better," Chicago Coach Lovie Smith said Friday. "The last phase of his evaluation is going to be tomorrow."
The Bears totaled just 143 yards against Bay area with backup quarterback Jason Campbell filling out for Cutler.
