Kohli and Tendulkar in Running For Top ICC Awards


India’s inform batsman Virat Kohli has been nominated for that top ICC Awards 2012 together with Sachin tendulkar. Kohli, the leading run scorer in ODIs this season, has been nominated for that Cricketer of the year and ODI Cricketer of the season. While Sachin Tendulkar has once more been nominated for that ICC Pople’s Choice award.

There are many players nominated for that People’s Choice Award for example Sri lanka’s Kumar Sangakara, South Africa’s Vernon Philander and Jacques Kallis, while England’s James Anderson comprises the quintet of nominees.

The surprise within this years ICC awards is the fact that there is no Indian player nominated within the test player category. Six players happen to be nominated in three different categories - Pakistan’s Saeed Ajmal, South Africa’s Hashim Amla, Australia captain Michael Clarke, Sangakkara, England’s Alastair Cook and West Indies Stafanie Taylor.

This season, the most ODI runs scorer Virat Kohli and cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar continues to be nominated for the 2012, ICC Awards. Virat Kohli is nominated for that Cricketer of the year and ODI player of the season, while Sachin Tendulkar has been nominated for ICC People’s Choice Award.

Another players have been nominated for People’s Choice Award are Sri Lanka’s Kumar Sangakkara, South Africa’s Jacques Kallis, Vernon Philander and England’s James Anderson.

Within the history of ICC Awards, cricket fans will vote and also the winner will be selected with the official ICC Facebook page voting list. The ICC awards, 2012 voting is going to be done till 31 August. Sachin Tendulkar have previously won the ICC Awards this year while Kumar Sangakkara gained the ICC trophy this year.
